white willow. provides powerful, natural salicylic acid which treats acne, pain, inflammation, and works as an antioxidant. salicylic acid, when used appropriately in its natural, balanced form, is non-irritating and non-drying.

taken out of its natural context and made synthetically, it can severely dry out the skin. our white willow is standardized for a 20% concentration of salicins, the source of this ingredient's anti-inflammatory, analgesic action. white willow's salicin is where aspirin got its origins.

in lab studies (animal-free), our white willow was found to be 30% more powerful than synthetic salicylic acid with none of the irritation or peeling effects of synthetic salicylic acid. works as a bha (beta hydroxyl acid) increasing cell renewal without burning or stripping the skin and acts as an anti-microbial. reduces sunburn cell formation.
